Summers are coming, and along with it comes blistering heat and humidity. So, we all need a suitable remedy for this upcoming summer’s prickly heat. Thus, here we have brought to you six natural beauty hacks that will keep you glowing and refreshed all summer long.

1. DIY Ice Cubes

Perhaps the easiest way to fight the heat is hydrating oneself with cold beverages. Well-hydrated skin is very necessary to keep your glow intact. Thus, DIY ice cubes will be just the perfect partner for you. Home-made ice cubes are really healthy and don’t contain any chemicals, preservatives, or copious amounts of sugars. You can use any of the following items:

  • Basil & Aleo Vera
  • Coffee. (Robusta or Arabica)
  • Green or Cammile Tea
  • Cucumber & Lemon, or
  • Honey & Cinnamon/Brown Sugar/Molasses

To create the perfect DIY ice cubes for yourself. Whenever you feel dehydrated, pop a couple of ice cubes in a glass of water and enjoy the cooling experience.

2. Homemade Tanning Lotion

A bronze tan is something on which people spend thousands of rupees. This summer create your own tanning cream with

  • 1 tsp Cocoa powder.
  • 2 tsp almond mink, and
  • 10 ml water.

You can apply this and take a sunbathe. If it’s really hot, store the lotion in the fridge for a couple of hours and apply it for instant cooling action. Cocoa powder will protect the skin from getting overtanned and almond moisturizes the skin.

3. Shave less and try cold waxing

Shaving during summers can increase the chances of skin irritation and cause inflation or redness of the skin. Rather we advise you to opt for cold waxing instead. Yes, waxing is painful, but your skin will be unharmed. You can apply any moisturizer right after you cold wax your skin. This will prevent any loss of moisture and also relief post-waxing irritation.

4. Summertime Haircare

Start your summers with a trim. Get rid of all the split-ends and ambushed hairs. Long exposure to the sun can cause your hair to get dry and bleached. To prevent this, use a DIY hair serum which can be made using

  • Apple cider vinegar, and
  • Milk/water.

Apply this whenever you go out. The apple cider with help to retain the natural shade of the hair and the milk/water will hydrate the scalp.

5. Stick with Waterproof makeup

Summers come with blistering heat and heavy humidity. Thus, it is necessary to use waterproof makeup during this weather. Visit your nearby retailer and get a range of waterproof protects which suits your skin.
